Gramma West game to visit last week. We had such a great time with her. We tried to make every moment memorable because we don't get to see her as often as we like. One of the adventures we went on was a trip to the Jelly Belly factory in Wisconsin. It is just across the border, a little over an hour drive.

I must admit the idea of it was what made it fun. The tour is not really of a factory, but of a warehouse where they store the jelly beans in boxes. They drive you around in a little train and show you videos about the history of the Jelly Belly company while you are parked next to little displays that were just a little creepy (astroturf covered boxes with jelly bean stuffed animals and artificial flowers). Our tour guide was texting the whole time she was talking.... so, not real enthusiastic. The kids thought it was a great time and the adults had some good laughs. The best part was the Jelly Belly store. They had free samples of every flavor of jelly bean. Between us we probably tried them all. They even had some gross-out flavors, but Gavin and I were the only two brave enough to try them. I ate a "baby wipes" flavored bean and Gav tried "moldy cheese"..... the flavors were right on! We walked away with a good load of candy which made the trip worthwhile for sure.
